What Upgrades Will Help My PC’s Performance the Most?

I'm looking to upgrade some components in my PC and need some advice. Here are my current specs: I've got an Intel i5-11400 CPU running at 2.60GHz, an Nvidia GeForce 1650 Super GPU, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and my motherboard is an Asus Prime B560-plus. My budget for the upgrades is around $800. If you need any more details about my setup, just ask! What do you think is bottlenecking my performance right now?

It really depends on what you plan to use your PC for. If you're mainly gaming, upgrading your GPU could be a huge boost, especially if you can find a better one. Just make sure you have a decent PSU to support it!

Upgrading from your 1650 Super to something like a 3070 would definitely enhance your gaming experience, but you might need a new PSU for that. With your $800 budget, another option would be to sell your current setup and invest in newer AM5 parts instead, but if you’re attached to this build, I get it!

I totally get that! I've built this over 10 years ago and it's got sentimental value. I'm more of a 'ship of Theseus' type at this point, just swapping parts out.

With your current specs, you're likely gonna need a new PSU for any serious GPU upgrade anyway. I recommend looking into a 9060XT 16GB and pairing it with an MSI MAG A650BN. This combo should be under $500 and really step up your gaming performance.

Your CPU isn't the main issue; it's actually pretty decent. I'm running a stronger 10700k with a 5060Ti and it's performing great at 1440p. If you're considering a 5060 upgrade too, just remember to factor in a new PSU!
