Hey everyone! I'm putting together a new PC and I'm a bit confused about what wattage my power supply should be. I've checked several calculators online, but they give me different numbers. Here are my specs:

- AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- RX 9070 XT
- 2x 16GB DDR5 RAM
- Gigabyte B850 Aorus Elite Wifi 7
- 1x 1TB SSD
- 1x 2TB SATA SSD

Most of the calculators suggest around 750 watts, but I'm wondering if I should play it safe and go for an 850-watt power supply instead?

Going for an 850W PSU is a solid choice! Especially since they're usually only slightly more expensive than 750W ones. It’s better to have a little extra power and it can help with efficiency, especially with your GPU.

Absolutely! The XT version of your GPU would benefit from the extra wattage. Plus, a more powerful PSU can make your system run cooler and quieter.

I’d recommend at least 100W more than your expected consumption. So, 850W seems perfect for your setup! It'll give you a nice buffer for stability.

750W should technically work, but if you have the budget, it’s smart to go for 850W. You'll get better efficiency and potentially quieter fans, plus it allows room for future upgrades!

Thanks for the advice!

You can likely find an 850W for the same price as the 750W. Just make sure to shop around a bit! If money is tight, consider going for a reliable 750W instead.
