Hey everyone! I'm a newbie builder and just picked up a 1440p 200hz monitor, but I'm worried that my RTX 3050 isn't going to cut it for gaming. I'm looking for a solid GPU-CPU combination that won't break the bank since I mostly play competitive games like Valorant, League, Overwatch, and a few others. My budget is around $500 to $700, and I'm based in the Philippines. Here's my current setup:

- CPU: Ryzen 5 5700X
- GPU: RTX 3050 6GB
- RAM: 16GB (I know, not ideal!)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to prioritize the GPU if you're gaming at 1440p. The 5060 Ti or RX 9060 XT would be perfect for your setup. For the CPU, if you decide to upgrade in the future, Intel's 12th to 14th gen CPUs are good choices. Just make sure your motherboard and RAM can handle it, and remember that your current RAM is a bit of a bottleneck!

For 1440p, you might want to look into the RX 9060 XT or the 5060 Ti, both of which are solid options. If you're mainly playing esports titles, the 8GB versions should work just fine without spending too much. Just keep an eye on your budget since prices can vary quite a bit! Also, if you're considering a CPU upgrade, look into the Ryzen 7 5800X3D or Ryzen 9 5950X, as they pair well with new GPUs and provide excellent performance.

If you're on a tight budget, I'd recommend sticking with something like the RX 9060 XT and pairing it with the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, both would be around $700 total. They’ll give you a really decent boost for your games without overspending. And I totally get your concern about RAM; you might want to upgrade that too eventually for better performance.
