I've been out of the PC gaming scene for about five years now, and I'm looking to upgrade my GPU. I currently have a 2060 Super which served me well since I bought it in 2019, running most games at max settings and 60fps at 1080p. However, I recently got a 1440p 144hz monitor from my mom, and my current card just can't keep up with the newer games at that resolution. For example, the Oblivion remaster is barely hitting 60fps even on low settings with DLSS set to performance. I'm hoping to find a GPU that can handle 60fps at 1440p with high to ultra settings for a budget of $500-700. I've heard mixed reviews about Nvidia's value right now, so I'm considering AMD for the first time too. Any recommendations?

If you're looking at your budget, the 5070 is a solid choice at around $550, and the 9070 XT for about $600 is also worth considering. Honestly, there aren’t really any bad GPUs in that range right now, just some pricing that can be a bit off.
The 9070 XT is definitely a strong contender. It should meet your needs at 1440p with decent settings,
You might want to look for a 3090 if you can find one within your price range. Just keep in mind that it’s a bit of a challenge to score one at $700 because of its value in the AI world. But it's worth checking out!
Good point, but realistically, you probably won't find a 3090 for that price. The 9070 or 5070 would be a smarter and more efficient choice.
Well said! Pricing can really be tricky these days.
