Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my GPU from the RTX 3070 Ti and could use some advice. I'm considering either the RTX 5070 or the RX 9070 XT, but I'm not entirely sure which direction to go. Here are my current specs: RYZEN 5 9600X, 32 GB DDR5 RAM, ASROCK B650 PRO RS, and a LIAN LI SFX PSU 750W. My CPU cooler is the LIAN LI GALAHAD TRINITY 2 AIO, and I have an O11 Dynamic MINI case. I mainly play games like Rainbow Six Siege, Counter Strike 2, and modded Minecraft at 1080p. I'm upgrading because one of the GPU fans broke and it's making an annoying sound. Honestly, I don't feel like just replacing the fan. My budget is up to $1000. Any recommendations?

Honestly, you could go for a cheaper GPU and still get good performance for your games at 1080p. The 5060 Ti or the 9060 XT would be adequate too and save you some cash while still delivering decent frame rates. Basically, if you’re sticking with 1080p, you don’t need to break the bank for a GPU upgrade!

Totally agree! You really don't need the latest and greatest to enjoy those games. A mid-range card like the 9060 would fit the bill just fine!

The RX 9070 XT is definitely the more powerful option, but if the RTX 5070 Ti is not much more expensive, you might consider that too. It really depends on what's available at your price point!

Between the 5070 Ti and the 9070 XT, both are solid choices and represent a nice performance boost. Just keep an eye on pricing—if the 5070 isn't significantly cheaper with its VRAM advantage, then it might be worth spending a bit more for the 9070 XT!
