What’s better: one 32GB RAM stick or two 16GB sticks?

I'm setting up my AM5 motherboard, which has two RAM slots and supports up to 96GB of memory. I'm trying to decide if I should go with one 32GB RAM stick or two 16GB sticks for dual-channel performance. Should I prioritize dual-channel with the 16GB sticks, or would it be smarter to leave one slot open for possible future upgrades?

Always go with two sticks! Dual-channel is much more beneficial these days, especially for gaming and multitasking. You'll notice better performance.

Two 16GB sticks are definitely the way to go! With a dual-channel setup, you'll get faster speeds, and mixing different RAM sizes can cause issues. Also, if you think you might need more RAM later, it makes sense to reserve that slot for upgrades.

For sure, two sticks are the better choice. You want to leverage that dual-channel capability. Using one stick might leave you missing out on potential speed gains!

Definitely go with two 16GB sticks. That's how you get the best performance. One stick won't cut it, especially if you're gaming!

Back in the day, there wasn't much difference, but now things have changed. If you're not planning on hitting 64GB soon, I'd stick with the two 16GB options. It will save you any hassle with upgrades later on.
