What’s that buzzing sound from my PC’s power supply?

I've been hearing a buzzing noise coming from my PC's power supply, and it's really starting to get on my nerves. This sound reminds me of a buzzing insect and has been happening for a while now. I even blew out all the dust from my PC and gave special attention to the power supply, hoping that would fix it, but the noise persists. The fan is working, but I'm not sure if it's the source of the sound or if something else is going on inside the power supply. Has anyone else experienced this issue, and do you have any ideas on how to resolve it?

Double-check if it could be choke whine instead of coil whine. It's similar but can sound a bit different. Just something to consider!

I’ve had a similar issue, but mine made noise even when my system was idle. I tried everything to fix it too, but nothing worked. It's frustrating!

Sounds like you might be dealing with something called coil whine. It's actually pretty common and usually nothing to worry about. You can find loads of info and videos online if you search for "what is coil whine." It could just be the components reacting to the load, especially when gaming or running demanding tasks.

Yeah, it's probably coil whine. I hear that sound too, especially when my GPU is under heavy load. Sometimes it can be annoying, but it often doesn't indicate any real harm to your system. If it gets unbearable, you could consider replacing the power supply, which is what I did. It solved my problem completely!

I guess it’s common then! I might just have to live with it unless it gets worse.
