Hey everyone! I've been using an LG 27" Ultragear QHD monitor (2560 x 1440) for the past six years, and I'm looking to upgrade. My current setup includes a 5070ti and a 9700x CPU. Recently, I tried an OLED monitor (AW2725D, 280Hz), but it didn't work well for me in my bright room and I'm also concerned about burn-in. I mainly play Overwatch 2, do some light browsing, and watch YouTube. What's a good IPS monitor upgrade I can get for under $500?

I bought an MSI MAG 27" gaming monitor from Costco, and I've been really enjoying it! It has 2560 x 1440 resolution and works great for gaming and general use.
To help you narrow your options, use rtings.com for extensive reviews and comparisons of various monitors. They have updated lists for budget models that can help you find a good 27" IPS monitor that fits your criteria.
Will check it out, thanks!
When it comes to IPS monitors, keep in mind that those "1ms" response times are often marketing hype. Generally, IPS screens yield around 4-8ms averages. Good news is that modern budget IPS panels perform comparably or better than high-end ones from years back. You might want to check out the Xiaomi G Pro 27i, which, although it's 180Hz, offers top-notch HDR. It's pretty bright, which could suit your setup better than the OLED you tried. Prices and availability in India may vary, so it’s worth looking into. The ASUS PG27AQN is also a fantastic option if you can stretch your budget a bit.
Thanks a lot for your response! Given the current prices in India, it seems like no monitor will feel like a significant upgrade. I might just wait another year or two for those new OLED/WOLED models to come out with better brightness.

Looks great, but sadly, it's not available in India yet. Thanks for the suggestion!
