I'm thinking about upgrading my Ryzen 7 3700X since I've been experiencing some bottlenecking in my PC. What would be the best upgrade options available right now?

If you're looking for the top choice, the 5800X3D is fantastic, but good luck finding one right now since they’re usually out of stock. A solid alternative could be the 5700X3D, though it's also getting scarce and may not offer the best price-to-performance ratio. For gaming, the 5800X is about $130 and widely available, which could be a good pick. Alternatively, you might want to consider saving up for an AM5 upgrade instead.
In my opinion, the 5700X is a sweet spot for AM4. It gives you a nice balance of performance and price. If you find that you need even more power after that, jumping to AM5 might be the way to go.
Definitely look into the 5700X3D or 5800X3D, but keep in mind they are climbing in price. If AM5 is getting cheaper, you might be better off selling your current CPU, motherboard, and RAM and then upgrading to AM5 with DDR5 and picking up something like the 7500F, 7600, or 7600X instead. This could give you better gaming performance in the long run.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the 5900X or 5950X yet! Both are excellent for gaming and should be available for around 200-250 euros. Might be worth considering if you're looking for strong multi-thread performance as well!
Just a quick question—are you planning to use this for gaming? That could change the recommendations a bit.
Here’s a quick rundown: 1. If you can find a 5800X3D, it's the best but super rare right now. 2. The 5700X3D is still obtainable; that could work too. 3. The 5800X is the most affordable and readily available option—consider it if you're on a budget. 4. Lastly, the 5700X could be your fourth option if you need something simpler. Given the current pricing and availability for the X3D models, you might want to just upgrade to AM5 instead.
5900XT could also be an option if you're considering those high-tier CPUs!
