Hey everyone! I'm setting up my first desktop PC and I'm really excited about it. Here's what I'm working with: an AMD Ryzen 7 9700X, a Palit GeForce 5060Ti with 16 GB of VRAM, and an Asus TUF Gaming B650-Plus motherboard. My main uses will be gaming as well as training neural networks—specifically PINNs and LSTMs, plus solving some 2D and 3D PDEs. As I'm just starting out in this journey as a student, I'm on the lookout for 32 GB of DDR5 RAM at 6000MHz. Unfortunately, I'm struggling to find a good deal! Should I grab a set for around €470 or is it better to wait it out? Also, should I consider holding off on getting an SSD?

I couldn't help but chuckle when I saw you mention not finding a decent offer. It’s rough out there right now!
Honestly, timing is tricky with RAM and SSD prices. You might find some decent deals, but watch out since some offers can end up being scams. Just make sure you buy from reputable sellers!
Yeah, RAM prices for DDR5 are pretty wild right now. Have you already bought all your other parts?
Here's a little tip: if you can get a good deal, consider switching to an AM4 5800 CPU and going for DDR4 RAM instead. It'll save you some cash, and trust me, the 5800 has all the power you need!

Not yet, I’ve only got the CPU and GPU so far. I can still return the CPU if I need to since I got it from Amazon. I just want something powerful for my needs.
