Hey there! I'm looking to buy an RTX 5070 Ti and I want to stick with a base model. I've done some digging but I'm still not sure. I don't want to spend extra on versions that just have better cooling for a minor performance gain of 30Hz. Some base models have better cooling and are quieter, so I'm curious about what people think. Any recommendations for the best base models? And Happy New Year!

Honestly, go for the cheapest base model that isn't the Ventus. I've heard that one can be quite loud and not so great overall. Sometimes price differences just aren’t worth it unless you find a special edition that's really unique.
If you're okay with a slightly higher budget, I've really loved the Founders Edition cards for their aesthetics and cooling. Just make sure to check out the tech reviews for comparisons between different models before making a final call!
I'd say check out the PNY (OC) model. It's been getting great reviews for its MSRP version which is simple and effective. PNY usually sticks to one solid model for their consumer cards, which is a good sign of reliability, even if it's not the prettiest option out there.
The Asus Prime and Zotac are both solid choices. I've tested a PNY, but wasn't thrilled with the temps or noise it put out—definitely goes for the Asus Prime if you want something well-built!
