Hey everyone! I'm reaching out for some guidance because I'm not very knowledgeable about hardware, and I need your help without overwhelming me with too much technical info. Right now, I have a laptop with an Intel Core i5-8250U CPU, a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 GPU (plus an Intel UHD Graphics 620—so do I have two GPUs?), and 8GB of RAM. I notice significant FPS drops and lags even in less demanding games, and this affects my work with Reaper as well. What would be a good combination of components within a budget of €600-700 to allow me to play games like League of Legends, Minecraft (with some mods), Hades, and Path of Exile at decent settings without any frequent lags or crashes? I can ask someone to build the PC for me since I'm not confident in building it myself. Thanks for the help!

With a budget of €1000, you're in a good spot to grab a laptop featuring at least an Nvidia RTX 4060, ideal for the games you’re targeting. Alternatively, you might find older models with an RTX 3070 which is actually more powerful than the 4060. Refurbished options are definitely worth looking into, especially for budgets. They can give you great value!
Your current laptop won't make the cut for intense gaming, so it’s great you’re looking for a new setup! I found a build that costs around €700; you can check it out here: https://fr.pcpartpicker.com/list/Vpw9v4. It might have some flaws, but it’s a good starting point. You could consider swapping the 6700 XT for a 3060 12GB which would work better for using Reaper, too.
I tried the link, but it mentioned some compatibility issues. I appreciate the recommendations, though, and will keep looking!
If you're not keen on learning PC hardware, a console could be a solid bet. It simplifies the process, and you won't have to tackle troubleshooting, which can be a bit daunting for beginners. Just a suggestion!
I’m keen to learn, but for now, I'll have someone build it for me. Appreciate the input!
I don't actually want a laptop, but if you say it's a better option, I'm open to it. I could also gather components to build it myself or pay someone for that. Can you explain why the 3070 is better than the 4060? I thought the newer series were the strongest!
