I'm trying to figure out the best X99 motherboard to pair with my Xeon CPU, specifically looking for one that allows me to unlock turbo boost and maybe do some light overclocking. Currently, I'm considering the JGINYUE X99M GAMING D4/ARGB. Is this a good choice in terms of value and performance? If anyone has other recommendations, especially for a Xeon E5-2667 v3 or a CPU with more than a 3 GHz base clock, I'd love to hear them!

An original board might be a good route too. I scored my ASRock X99X for under $110 on AliExpress!

That’s great for an enthusiast build, but if the OP is on a budget, they could grab a new B450 board and a Ryzen 3600/5500 for the same $110.

Check out Miyconst's reviews; he evaluates important aspects like VRMs, memory channels, and chipset features, which could help you make a more informed decision.

I really appreciate that! I do follow him; his insights on X99 and Xeon are fantastic!

Why are you leaning towards an X99 setup instead of an AM4? Given the current prices, it seems like going for X99 is more of an enthusiast choice than a practical one.

Honestly, it all comes down to my budget. AM4 would definitely be a better and smoother experience, but I'm kind of strapped for cash right now.

The JGINYUE X99M is a decent option and offers good value, but for maximizing your CPU performance, I recommend looking at boards with better power delivery systems. Consider boards from Huananzhi, like the X99-TF or X99-F8; they are known for their reliability and strong VRMs, which are essential for unlocking the all-core turbo boost.

Thanks for the input! I checked those out, but $140 for a Chinese X99 board seems pretty steep, especially since they don't support TMP. Do you have any other budget-friendly suggestions? Otherwise, I might just stick with the JGINYUE.

Are there any dual 2011-3 boards with a lot of expansion slots for under 150 euros that you would recommend?

Purchasing a used X99 board from a reputable brand could also be a solid alternative, especially considering that the price is quite similar to new boards. Why deal with complications and debugging if you can go for something proven?

Haha, I checked those, but they're not all the same. There’s a noticeable difference in quality.
