I'm looking to build a powerful system for heavy 3D work, video editing, and gaming. I've been given some recommendations by Google Gemini, mentioning the i9 13900K and the Ryzen 5950X3D. Are these suggestions correct, or is there a better CPU that supports DDR4 RAM? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you're considering heavy use, I’d suggest checking out the benchmarks for the 13900K or 14900K. Keep in mind though, stock performance isn’t great; you’ll want to undervolt them for better efficiency and longevity. Also, for gaming, the 5800X3D is still a strong choice if you don't mind a slightly older setup. Since both platforms have reached the end of their life cycles, it might be worth looking at the 12700K or 12900K for a balance of price and performance.
Just a heads up, the 5950X3D doesn’t exist! For Intel, you might want to check out the 14900K or 14900KF. They’ve got great performance, but the KS model had some issues due to recent updates. If you’re looking at AMD, go for the standard 5950X for productivity or the 5800X3D for gaming - it’s really solid for that. Just make sure to look at performance benchmarks for the specific apps you'll be using since they can vary a lot depending on your workload.

That’s a good point! I’ve also heard that some 12th and early 13th-gen CPUs can compete well on DDR4 without breaking the bank. Definitely something to consider!
