I'm trying to figure out the best CPU cooler for my new 7800X3D. My main use will be gaming in 4K (mostly single-player games) and some light internet browsing. I've narrowed it down to two options: the Cooler Master MASTERLIQUID ML240L RGB V2 and the COOLER MASTER 622 HALO. However, I've heard mixed reviews about the AIO model. Can anyone share their opinions on which cooler would be better for my setup?

You might want to consider just using a good air cooler instead. The 7800X3D doesn’t draw more than 80 watts under gaming loads, so any decent air cooler should do the trick. Personally, I’d recommend going with the CM 622 Halo if you're set on that brand.
I've had experience with the ML240 version too, and honestly, it didn't live up to expectations compared to my cousin’s Arctic Liquid Freezer III 240. I had noise issues with the pump pretty quickly. I later switched to an ID-Cooling A620 Pro SE, and it's been great—much better cooling and silent operation.
Both of the coolers you're looking at will work fine for the 7800X3D, but I've noticed that Cooler Master isn't as reliable as they used to be. You might want to check out some Thermalright coolers; they generally offer a good mix of quality and price. Just keep in mind that availability might be an issue.
I’ve heard the Peerless Assassin is a solid choice for your situation, you can definitely use it with the 7800X3D.
The Arctic Freezer 36 is a solid choice if you're open to alternatives. It's known for decent performance.
