Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade an old computer where I've got a 1660 Ti lying around. I'm really hoping to find the perfect graphics card that will let me game at 1080p for all the latest titles without any issues. My main goal is to maintain at least 60fps on the newest Unreal Engine 5 games. I've been considering an RTX 3060 since it has solid specs, but I'm also thinking about newer options that can provide better DLSS/FSR tech. Ideally, I don't want something that's way too powerful for 1080p. My setup will likely be paired with an AM4 motherboard and DDR4 memory, but that could change. Any recommendations or thoughts? Thanks for your help!

The RTX 3060 is solid for solid 1080p performance, but if you're set on high settings for those modern UE5 games, you might want to look for something a bit beefier.
If you're thinking about longevity, a Radeon RX 9060 XT with 16GB might be a bit overkill for today but it could definitely keep up for several years. Getting anything with 8GB or less might be a mistake for 2025 gaming.
If you're considering higher resolutions, maybe think about a 5070 or 5060 Ti with 16GB. With DLDSR, you could run games at 1440p while still getting great visuals on your 1080p screen.
Switching to an AM5 setup could give you a decent performance boost in 1080p, potentially even doubling your fps in games like Valorant or Rainbow Six Siege! I'd recommend looking at something like a 4060 or 4060 Ti along with a 7600X or 9600X to minimize any bottlenecks. Just keep your budget in mind, though; you might also consider going for AMD GPUs as well if you're into that.
True, but going AM5 is a bigger investment compared to just upgrading the GPU. I’d lean towards the 3060 Ti or the 6700XT if you’re primarily gaming at 1080p!
I was thinking the same! I've got a lot of outdated hardware and am considering moving to AM5 for better performance. Jumping in seems like a good idea!
Totally agree, that choice will definitely future-proof your 1080p gaming!
