I just upgraded to a 5070 Ti while using a 5900X. To improve 1% lows, don’t forget to set your memory configuration to 1:1. It can make a noticeable difference!
I’d say the 5070 Ti is the way to go. It's not only affordable, but it also handles Ray Tracing well. If you want to dive deeper into performance, consider future-proofing with a newer graphics card like the 5080, but it’ll cost you more.
I had a similar setup with a Ryzen 5800X, and I was able to run a 5070 Ti and 9070 XT on my 3440x1440p display with no issues. Moving to the 5080 or 4080, I noticed the GPU usage went up to around 90% on high/ultra settings. Anything 5070 Ti and below should work great without your 5900X holding you back in terms of average performance, but switching to a newer AM5 CPU could really boost your 1% lows.
