I'm building my first PC and I'm trying to find the best budget GPU that costs between $250 and $320 USD. I understand that my budget will limit my FPS performance, but I can't go beyond this price range. Any recommendations?

If you're including taxes, the RTX 5050 is likely your best bet for performance in that price range. If you're flexible on the budget just a bit, consider the B580 or the RX 9060 XT with 8GB of memory. The GPU choice really matters more than the CPU in terms of gaming performance.
You might want to look for a used 2060 Super for around $100-150. It'll handle 1080p gaming decently, not perfectly for AAA titles, but it's done well for my TV setup with casual games. If you're aiming for 1440p, a used 3060 for about $200 could work nicely. There are also options like the 3070 within $250-300 range if you want better frame rates. If you can find a used 4060, that’d be a great option for frame generation in AAA games.
For your budget, the Arc B580 is a solid choice. It has 12GB of VRAM, so it performs pretty well. Normally, I'd suggest spending a bit more for the 9060 XT with 8GB, but if you're sticking to your budget, the B580 should serve you well. If you're okay with buying used hardware, you can find a 2080 Ti for a similar price, but being that this is your first build, I recommend sticking with the B580.
