I'm looking for recommendations on a graphics card under $550 that will work well with my Ryzen 7 9700X for 1440p gaming. I want something that could last me around 10 years, mainly for single-player games. I also have a 1440p monitor with a refresh rate of 180Hz, so I'm hoping to find a good match. Any suggestions?

I’d recommend checking out the MSI VENTUS 2X PLUS OC RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB for around $500. If you can stretch your budget a bit, the XFX Speedster QICK 319 Core Radeon RX 7800 XT is a solid option at about $590. Both should handle your needs well!

It's worth looking for a card with at least 16GB of VRAM and a 192-bit memory bus; ideally, a 256-bit one is even better. Make sure you stick to GPUs from AMD or NVIDIA for longevity. If you can find a 3090, that would really help for the years to come due to the extra VRAM.

For single-player games, having a stronger GPU is more beneficial than just a powerful CPU. If you skimp on the GPU now, it could affect your performance down the line. Maybe consider downgrading to a 9600X for better balance with a good GPU. Either the AMD 9070 or the 5060 Ti (make sure it's the 16GB version) would suit your needs.
