Hey everyone! I'm looking for advice on upgrading the GPU in my Dell Inspiron 3880. I received this PC from my dad about two years ago, and while I've mostly played games like Roblox and Minecraft, I'm eager to play better games like Marvel Rivals and GTA. My current specs are an Intel Core i3-13100 CPU with Intel UHD Graphics 630 and 8 GB of RAM. I've heard my CPU is decent, but the integrated GPU isn't cutting it. I'm not sure if I should try upgrading this PC or just build a new one. What would be the cheapest option for upgrading? Are there specific parts that can run most games well without breaking the bank?

Honestly, I'd recommend going for a whole new build. If you can sell your current PC for some cash towards a new setup, that would be the best route. Your current system might not provide enough for an effective upgrade, and starting fresh could save you a lot of hassle.
You definitely need to check the wattage of your PSU and what kind of PCIe connectors it has before buying a GPU. And your case's size is important too, as bigger GPUs might not fit. Given the compatibility issues and the limited power from your system, it might be better to save up for a full new build with standard ATX parts instead.
The main issue you'll face is that any decent GPU needs a dedicated power connection, and your power supply might not support that. Also, Dell PCs often have proprietary components, so upgrading can get tricky. You might need to change the power supply, motherboard, and case just to fit a new GPU. In my opinion, these prebuilt Dell systems aren't really built for easy upgrades.
What about an RTX 3050? Would that work for him?
