What’s the Best Heatmap Tool for Beginners on a Budget?

I'm trying to understand how users interact with my website better, and heatmaps seem like a great way to visualize that. Since I'm not very tech-savvy and I have a limited budget, I'm looking for a heatmap tool that's easy to set up and doesn't require a steep learning curve. I've done some research and found that there are many options available, but I'm unsure which ones are truly worth the investment.

I have a few questions:
- How accurate are heatmap tools? Should I use them alongside other analytics for better insights?
- Are the free versions of these tools sufficient, or is it better to invest in a paid plan for more data?
- If you've used any heatmap tools, which ones have you found the easiest and most helpful?

I've heard of tools like Hotjar and Crazy Egg, but I'd love to know if there are better alternatives out there!

I just started using Microsoft Clarity, and it’s pretty user-friendly and free! It gives you heatmaps along with session recordings, which is neat. You get a good amount of data without having to spend a dime. Definitely check it out as a starting point!

That's great to hear! I've been looking for free options, so I might give Clarity a shot. How's the setup process?

Hotjar and Crazy Egg are popular for a reason, but if you're on a budget, Clarity can be a great fit. I also found that combining heatmaps with Google Analytics gives you a fuller picture of user behavior, so it might be worth considering both.

That's a solid tip! I think I'll try pairing them together. Do you think the free versions of Hotjar provide enough data?
