What’s the Best Monitor Size for Reading, Writing, and Surfing the Web?

Hey everyone! I'm in the market for a new PC monitor and I'm looking for some size recommendations. I only need one monitor, as I'm not into multitasking and typically have a single task on my screen at a time, like reading and writing documents, checking emails, or watching YouTube videos. Occasionally, I do open a few word documents or browser windows side by side for comparison. I sit about 45 inches away from the monitor. I've been using a 32-inch monitor and I think I want to stick with that size or possibly go bigger. I'm curious if a larger screen would enhance my experience. Here are my main questions: What monitor size would you suggest for comfortable reading and eye health? Is there anything else I should consider when buying? And could you recommend a good mid-range or budget-friendly model? Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

I’d suggest trying a 34-inch ultrawide monitor. It lets you see more content without switching windows, which sounds perfect for your work style. Plus, they often have better ergonomic features for eye health. Just make sure it has decent resolution for easy reading. I recently got an LG 34WN80C and I love it!

Awesome! Do you think a 34" ultrawide is better than a regular 32" for reading?

Since you're accustomed to a 32-inch display, I would recommend sticking with that size or even considering a 34-inch for a bit more screen real estate, especially for multitasking when comparing documents. A larger screen can provide a more comfortable viewing experience, reducing eye strain by allowing you to adjust the distance more comfortably. You might find the Samsung U32J590 to be a solid choice. It's a great 32-inch option with good color accuracy and sharpness!

Thanks for the recommendation! Do you think even bigger than 32" would be a good choice for my needs?
