I'm setting up a mini PC as a home server and was thinking of using Ubuntu Server. I've heard it's good, but I'm curious if there are better options out there for running a Steam game server, Pi-hole, ntopng, and Plex. Any recommendations?

Ubuntu Server works well! If you're looking for more stability with fewer updates that might break things, consider going with Debian. Rocky Linux is another solid choice if you want something based on RHEL. All three options are quite reliable for server tasks.

What does RHEL based mean? I'm looking into Debian but could you tell me why it's better than Ubuntu Server?
