I'm planning to build my first PC on Black Friday with a budget of around €1000. I'm debating between going for an AM5 setup with a Ryzen 5 7600 and a 16GB 9060 XT or sticking with an AM4 build using a Ryzen 5 5600 alongside a 9070 XT. I'm not sure if the AM4 would bottleneck my performance too much. My goal is to game at 1440p, so I would love any advice or recommendations on what might work best for me.

I wouldn't recommend going for an older platform like AM4 or Intel's older models. If you let me know where you're located, I can help you put together a solid build!

I think the age of the platform doesn't matter so much if you plan to keep the PC for 5 years and then upgrade. Even if you choose AM5 now, in five years you might find yourself in the same situation, being told to wait for the next generation!
