What’s the Best PC Build for VR Gaming?

Hey everyone! I recently picked up a Meta Quest during the Christmas sale, and I'm really getting into VR. I just found out that games like Fallout 4 and Skyrim have VR versions, which is super exciting! I'm also interested in VR treadmills.

I know the Quest isn't the top-tier headset, so I plan on upgrading eventually. My main question is about building a PC that can handle VR smoothly. I want to be able to run all the VR games without needing to upgrade for at least the next five years, but I'm unsure if that's realistic.

I'm not concerned about aesthetics like colors or lighting; I just want solid performance. I've heard RAM and graphics cards are really pricey right now, and with the potential for price increases due to global events, I feel like now might be a good time to invest.

I'm also debating whether I should go for a water-cooling system or stick with fans. Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your help!

For a solid VR experience, I recommend considering the AMD Ryzen 7800X3D or 9800X3D for your CPU, paired with 32GB of RAM (6000MHz should be good). You'll want a GPU like the 5070 Ti or even the 5080/5090, depending on your budget. Don't forget a reliable power supply. For cooling, a decent AIO water cooler or a double tower air cooler should work great! Overall, expect to spend around $2,200 for this setup.

Just a heads up, the 5090 alone could set you back $3,000, and RAM can run about $600. It might help to decide on your budget first; that way, we can tailor the recommendations to what you're comfortable spending!
