Hey everyone! I recently purchased an RX 7600XT, and I'm starting to realize that I might need to upgrade my monitor and processor to get the best performance. Currently, I'm using a Ryzen 5 5500. I'm wondering what processor would pair well with my graphics card? I've come across the Ryzen 5 7600 and 7600X, which are similarly priced here, and also the Ryzen 5 5600. I'm not really knowledgeable about these options, so any advice would be greatly appreciated! Also, I'm considering the 27" AOC Q27G4XF Gaming monitor based on some recommendations, but I'm hoping to prioritize the processor first and not spend too much on the monitor right now. Thanks for your help!

Your current Ryzen 5 5500 is an AM4 chip, and upgrading to the Ryzen 7600 means you'll need a new motherboard and RAM since that's AM5. It could turn out pretty pricey, especially with RAM costs as they are right now. Honestly, if you're not facing significant bottlenecks with your current CPU, you might want to stick with it a bit longer. If you really want to upgrade, check out second-hand AM4 CPUs like the Ryzen 5600X or even the 5700X3D. Just keep in mind that AM4 is getting older, so going for a brand-new CPU might not be the best investment.

Good to know! I thought about the budget aspect too. Maybe I’ll just stick with my 5500 for a bit longer. Thanks for the info!
