What’s the Best Secure File Transfer Service for Large Files?

I'm looking for recommendations on cloud-based platforms that offer secure file transfers for large files, specifically those that can handle sizes up to 1TB. Our requirements include strong security features, fast transfer speeds, generous storage, and granular access controls. We also need things like tracking, auditing capabilities, and compliance with regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA. We've already considered solutions like Box Enterprise, Citrix ShareFile, Accellion Kiteworks, and TitanFile, but I'm curious if there are any other platforms that users really love. What are you all using and are you satisfied with it?

We use ShareFile by Progress (it used to be Citrix). It checks a lot of your requirements, but I should mention that it might not handle 1TB files as you need. But, it deals with large files quite well otherwise.

Yeah, I think ShareFile could work for us. We've faced some issues with the interface, but if it’s the best option out there, it might still be feasible. Thanks!

I wrote a detailed guide on sending large files recently, which includes a list of WeTransfer clones. Some of these might be worth exploring for your needs. While I didn’t check for compliance on every single one, WeTransfer and TransferNow seem to fit into the category you’re looking for, as they are quite popular.

Thanks for the info! I’ve used WeTransfer for personal needs, but it doesn't seem robust enough for enterprise use in our case. We're looking for something with a solid backend and auditing capabilities.

If you need to transfer huge files, I would just drop them in a protected S3 bucket and share the link. It's straightforward, though you might miss the managed capabilities of a dedicated solution.

I’ll check into that, but I’m not sure it’ll meet the security controls we require. It's probably where the platforms store data anyway, but we need a management layer on top.

I've been using LiquidFiles. I'm not sure if it ticks all the boxes you've outlined, but it might be worth a look. It’s been pretty reliable for us.

Thanks! I’ll give it a look. I've been hesitant because of its name, but I’ll check it out now.
