I'm looking for storage that I can frequently switch between my phone and laptop on a daily basis. It needs to be reliable so I won't lose data or end up with corruption. Ideally, I want something that's affordable and has good storage capacity, but I'm not very tech-savvy and could use some advice.

If you’re looking for something portable and reliable, I highly recommend getting an external SSD like the Samsung T7. It connects via Type C, and it comes with both C to C and C to A cables, so you're covered for pretty much any device you have.

Without knowing exactly how you plan to use it, I’d say USB drives tend to offer more versatility overall.

Keep in mind, micro SD cards can be a bit slow, especially if you're using a not-so-great adapter. USB drives are usually more reliable, but I’d go for a solid metal one, as the plastic ones might break over time.

It really depends on what you plan to store. What kind of data are you dealing with and how much of it? If you're looking at anything from a few GBs to hundreds of GBs, you might want to consider cloud storage options like iCloud or Google Drive, which can be super convenient for accessing files across devices.

For what you need, a portable SSD is definitely the way to go. Just make sure to choose a reputable brand, and you should be good to go for a long time!
