Hey everyone! I built my first PC about a month or two ago, and I'm now looking to upgrade. While my RTX 2070 SUPER works fine with the base version of Cyberpunk 2077, I'm feeling it's a bit outdated, especially for modded gameplay. Here are my current specs:

- Processor: Ryzen 7 3700x
- Memory: 16GB DDR4 3000MHz CL16
- GPU: RTX 2070 Super
- Motherboard: B450M Pro 4
- Storage: 120GB boot SSD + 1TB HDD

What upgrades do you all suggest to get better graphics and performance, especially for modded Cyberpunk?

If you're looking for a solid upgrade, definitely snag a modern GPU first. Consider going for an RX 9070 or an RTX 5070. Both should give you 55-60 FPS at 1440p with ray tracing on Ultra and quality upscaling. Just keep in mind that if you’re playing with mods, the more powerful the card, the better!

Sounds like a plan! Are there any specific features to look for in the GPU? I’ve heard VRAM is important for modded games.

If you want to stick with the AM4 platform, I’d suggest either the Ryzen 7 5800X or the RX 9060 XT. The RX 9060 XT is often only $50-$60 over MSRP and offers great performance for the price. You might also want the RX 9070 if you don’t mind spending a bit more. Current NVIDIA cards tend to be overpriced, so AMD is a good choice right now.

Definitely! The price difference can be quite significant, so going AMD seems smart at the moment.

Before diving into a new GPU, think about upgrading your storage. Cyberpunk, especially when modded, really benefits from an SSD. If your game is running off the 1TB HDD, that could be the main culprit for any slowdowns. Moving it to a high-speed NVMe SSD will really enhance performance, cutting down stuttering significantly.

Totally agree! An SSD will make a huge difference, especially for loading large assets like textures.

First upgrade your storage to an SSD, as running Cyberpunk off an HDD can lead to stuttering. Once that's sorted, look at options like the RX 9060 XT. Just make sure to get at least 12GB of VRAM for smooth gameplay, especially with those mods.
