I'm looking to upgrade my gaming setup but want to stay within a budget of around $500. Currently, I have a B250M D3H motherboard, an Intel i7 6700 processor, a 1050 Ti graphics card, and 16 GB of RAM. I'm not sure if I should just update my GPU or if it's better to rebuild entirely. Any thoughts on the best path forward, especially for playing new titles?

You could definitely replace your GPU without too much trouble. Upgrading to something like a 7800 XT could give you a solid performance increase, although you might face some bottlenecking in certain scenarios. If you want to save a bit, consider the 6600 as a cheaper alternative.
I think the GPU upgrade is a great starting point. You can always tackle the bigger upgrades like CPU and motherboard later.
