What’s the Best Upgrade Path for My PC?

I'm currently running a 4060 Ti graphics card paired with a Ryzen 7 3700X, a B550 micro ATX ASUS motherboard, and 32 GB of DDR4 RAM. I'm looking for advice on the best upgrade path. Price isn't a huge concern; I just want to improve my performance. One option I considered is upgrading to a better CPU along with a new motherboard while keeping my 4060 Ti. However, I'm unsure if I should stick with NVIDIA or switch to AMD, as I've always used NVIDIA and am accustomed to DLSS in games. Should I just upgrade my CPU with a better one that's compatible with my current motherboard?

Before making any changes, it's good to clarify what you're hoping to achieve with the upgrade. Are you looking for better gaming performance, smoother gameplay, or tackling specific games that are struggling? Identifying your goal can really help in deciding the right path forward.

It sounds like the CPU might be where you're facing limitations. If you want to upgrade to an AM5 chip, that would mean getting a new motherboard and shift to DDR5 RAM too. But there are solid options available for AM4 that can also give you a noticeable performance boost. I'm eyeing a 5800X myself since it’s a strong contender.
