What’s the best used GPU I can get for $150-$200?

Hey everyone! I've got an R7 1700 CPU, a 1650 GDDR6 graphics card, and 16GB of RAM. I'm looking to upgrade my GPU since I feel like it's holding back my performance. I'm considering a 2070 Super, but I wanted to get some opinions on whether that's a good choice. I mainly play CS2, but I'm also planning to replay RDR2 and want my setup to be ready for GTA6. What do you think?

Have you thought about the RX 6600? It's a great mid-range card that should serve you well. Still, the 2070 Super might offer better longevity for upcoming titles.

I was leaning towards the 2070 Super too. It seems like it handles future games better.

When it comes to CS2, that game often runs better with a decent CPU. If you upgrade to a 5600 with a GTX 1070, you could see better results than just focusing on the GPU alone. GTA6's specs aren't confirmed, but expect to need to upgrade again later.

I'm running lower settings at 1280x960 and get about 170 fps. If the 2070 Super can give similar performance at 1080p, I might just go for it.

Honestly, I think your R7 1700 is more of a bottleneck than your GPU. For competitive gaming in CS2, you might get more benefit from upgrading to a Ryzen 5 5600 instead of focusing solely on the GPU. That upgrade could double down on your performance before splurging on a new graphics card. Just a thought!

I never considered that! Do you know what a fair price for a 5600 is, by the way? I've seen a lot of price variations on eBay.

If you're considering future-proofing, the 3070 is a great choice at around $200-$220. But don't forget about the CPU upgrade as well—it’ll make a significant difference.

Before you make a decision, what's your motherboard? Some of the first-gen Ryzen boards might struggle with the newer 5000 series CPUs. You could be limited in options based on compatibility.

Great point! I’ll check my motherboard and see what it supports—might need to factor that into my upgrade plans.

You could look for a 5700XT, 6600, or 6600XT within your budget. Those are solid options.

Yeah, definitely keep an eye out on eBay. You might find a good deal on one of those!
