I sold my 4070 Super a year back since I took a break from gaming. Now, I have everything set up except for a GPU, and I'm trying to figure out the best used graphics card I can buy for around $300. Should I go for an older model like the 3080, or am I better off with something newer like the 4060 Ti? I'll mainly use it for playing Overwatch 2 and Marvel Rivals at 1440p, but I'm not too concerned about maxing out the settings. I'm looking for advice from someone who has a good grasp on the current market to help me find the best option for my budget. Thanks!

Market prices can vary based on where you live, so check benchmarks specific to your games. That will give you a clearer idea of what you can expect in terms of performance.
I have a 3060 Ti lying around and might consider a trade for $300 if you're interested!
Prices for PC components are quite inflated right now, even on the secondhand market. If you're looking at a budget around $300, something like an RX 6800 XT with 16GB could be worth considering. However, if you can stretch your budget slightly to $400-450, the 5060 Ti could offer improved performance and newer tech.
The 5060 Ti isn’t significantly better than the 3080, though. The 3080 still has superior performance, so it might be worth sticking with that.
When I was in this price range, I picked up a used RX 6800 on eBay. You might also score a decent 6900 XT or 3080 in that budget now. The RX 6800 still runs games in 2K great since it has 16GB of VRAM!
If you're on the hunt, check places like hardware swap groups. You can sometimes find 6800 XTs and the 12GB 3080s selling for around $300.
The 3080 is probably your best bet for great performance at that price. If you can find a used one for $300, it's a solid choice!
I’ve seen 3080 Ti options too, just keep looking and you might snag a good deal!

Nah, that price is pretty off. I sold mine for $225 last summer, and now they're even going for around $150.
