What’s the Best VGA to HDMI or DisplayPort Adapter for My KVM?

I've got a Belkin Omniview PRO2 KVM that outputs VGA, and I'm looking to connect it to my new LG 27" IPS monitor or possibly an AOC mini LED 27" VA monitor. These monitors only have HDMI and DisplayPort inputs. I've heard that VGA to DisplayPort adapters are pretty pricey compared to VGA to HDMI ones. My KVM can output a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536 at 85Hz, but I'm not sure if the inexpensive VGA to HDMI adapters on Amazon are a good choice. What specific adapter should I consider?

You might want to think about upgrading your KVM to something that supports more modern outputs. I recently got a VGA to HDMI adapter for an old PC for about 25-30 bucks on Amazon, and it works pretty well. Just keep in mind, I didn't test it above 1080p on my 4K TV, so I can't guarantee it’ll hit higher resolutions.

I might go for that Amazon option if there's a return policy with Prime. I saw a video where a server expert reviewed similar adapters and he liked it, so it sounds promising!
