What’s the best way to build a budget gaming PC?

I'm really interested in building a gaming PC and I've heard that some people can make one that runs games like Fortnite at 120 FPS for just $80. I'm not sure where to start, though. Do I need to measure parts before I buy them? What specific components do I need? I'm looking for guidance on what to buy and how to figure it all out. If anyone could build a cheap PC for me and share the parts link, that would be awesome!

What country are you in? That might affect the options you have for buying parts.

Honestly, $80 is pretty much impossible for a good gaming PC. You might want to adjust your budget a bit. Getting used parts can help, but full builds usually cost more.

I've seen videos of people putting together PCs for $80 that run 120 FPS, so it must be doable!

A great way to learn about building PCs is to take apart an old gaming PC and then put it back together. This helps you understand how everything fits. Just be careful not to damage any components; it's easier than you think to put something in wrong!

So, do you have to worry about measurements for each part when buying them?

If you have suggestions for parts I should look at, that’d be really helpful!

I managed to build mine for around $100 by getting used parts from friends and finding deals at thrift stores or on sites like Facebook Marketplace. If you’re resourceful, you can create a decent setup!
