I'm looking to buy an RTX 5090, but I'm torn between getting one from eBay or Facebook Marketplace versus sticking to trusted retailers like Microcenter or Best Buy. I've noticed some pretty crazy prices on eBay, like around $2,500, but there are so many warnings about scams. I'm feeling a bit lost and would love to hear what you all think about the best way to go about buying graphics cards these days.

If it looks too good to be true, it probably is! I'd recommend sticking to reputable retailers for high-end GPUs. It's just safer that way. There's a lot of scam potential out there, especially on platforms like eBay.
Thanks for the advice! I saw a post on Facebook for a 5090 priced at $2,700, and now I’m definitely thinking that’s too good to be true. I won't risk it!
