What’s the Best Way to Create a Global Repository for Software Installers?

I'm looking for effective solutions to manage software installers (.msi, .exe, .ps1) across multiple regions within our IT department. We have recently centralized our management system under MECM and Intune as we transition all devices to Windows 11. Currently, we face challenges due to multiple dispersed file shares and the difficulty in accessing and versioning our packages. We've started using SharePoint to store files and .intunewin packages, but it's not ideal for large files and has some frustrating limitations. I need a solution that includes version control, requires approvals for changes, and could potentially integrate CI/CD capabilities for automatic updates. Is there a more suitable platform than SharePoint for this type of repository? I've looked at JFrog Artifactory, but it seems costly and developer-focused. Are there better options, like using Azure Files with Azure DevOps? Any advice would be appreciated!

If you have a proper endpoint management solution like Intune or MECM, you can set up a security group for your IT staff, create install packages, and target that group for optional installs. This approach helps with version control since you can keep everyone updated easily.

Thanks for the advice! Just to clarify, we're already using Intune for deployment. My main concern is where to store the source files for the installers so we can reference them later for updates, like when a new version of software comes out. We want a central place that’s quick to access globally and avoids the clutter of on-prem servers.
