I'm trying to edit a scanned PDF to change some minor text, specifically the date, but I want it to look completely natural as if it was never altered. I've given Inkscape, Tenorshare PDNoob, and iLovePDF OCR extractor a shot, but none of them worked well for me. Can anyone suggest the best tool or method for achieving a seamless edit?

Have you thought about Photoshop? You could export your PDF as a TIFF and then edit it there. It gives you more control over how your edits blend in with the existing text.
Remember, scanned PDFs are just images, so the editing will depend a lot on the quality of the scan. Using a tool like Adobe Acrobat for OCR can help make your edits look seamless, but if the original quality is low, you might still run into some issues.
You could try using LibreOffice Draw. It can handle PDF edits and may work better for you. If you need to make bigger changes, using OCR to convert the PDF to another format might be necessary, but that can lead to a lot of formatting corrections later on.
Honestly, simple tools like MS Paint can get the job done too. I've edited documents like that for work before. Just keep copies of the originals to rotate through if you're worried about detection!
Adobe Acrobat is one of the best options for editing scanned PDFs. It has OCR features that can help preserve the look of the text when you make your changes. Just keep in mind, the quality of the original scan can affect how well the edits turn out.
Absolutely, I've used it before, and it works pretty well!
Yeah, sometimes you may have to tweak the fonts manually a bit afterward if things look off!
