I've been out of the helpdesk scene for about three years and I'm trying to catch up on how to handle browser issues, particularly with Windows 11. Back in my day, clearing the history for the last hour in Chrome often solved most problems by getting rid of the troublesome cache. I'd also remove cookies from specific sites by clicking the padlock icon, which usually did the trick. Now that we're mostly using Microsoft Edge, I've noticed that removing the user profile and resyncing tends to fix issues about 90% of the time. I assume that clears the cache too? Is there a simpler way to clear the cache in Edge, or is this the standard procedure now?

I often find that just removing a specific cookie solves most problems I have, like with Mimecast acting up. I don’t recall the last time I did a full cache clear. If a page stops loading correctly, sometimes just deleting the problematic cookie is way easier than looking for the cache settings.
Clearing the user profile seems a bit extreme! Just go into Settings and look for the option to clear browsing data. That's usually the quickest way to clear the cache without going through all that hassle. You definitely don't need to reinstall Windows 11 just for this!
Honestly, Edge can be a pain to navigate when it comes to troubleshooting. In the menu (the three dots in the top right), you should find 'Delete browsing data' where you can manage what to clear.
Where exactly is this clear cache option? Are we talking about clearing the last hour or last week? I want to make sure I'm doing it right!
