What’s the Best Way to Fix Browser Cache and Cookies Issues in Windows 11?

I've been out of the helpdesk loop for about three years now and I need to catch up. Back in the day, the common fix for Chrome issues was to clear the history for the last hour to get rid of any troublesome cache. Then I would often just click on the padlock and remove cookies from specific websites, which usually solved the problem. Now that I'm working more with Microsoft Edge, I find that removing the user profile and resyncing tends to fix issues more often than not. Is there an easier way, like just clearing the cache, or is this user profile reset the norm now?

Honestly, clearing the user profile seems a bit extreme! You should just go to Settings and clear the cache as you've always done. That's usually the quickest fix for issues. But if you're really looking for a shortcut, let me know where you're struggling!

Could you point me to where the clear cache button is? I usually just clear the last hour or last week.

Yeah, Edge can be a pain. Just go to the meatballs menu at the top right and select 'Delete Browsing Data.' It’s confusing since it’s tied to a Microsoft account, but this should help.

What I do is remove specific cookies when a site starts acting weird. For example, Mimecast has some issues, and just deleting their cookie helps me get back in without a hitch. Honestly, I can’t remember the last time I cleared the whole cache or history; it’s usually just cookies that do the trick for me.
