What’s the best way to get Ethernet to my PC from a distance?

Hey everyone! I've been dealing with some serious ping and download speed issues lately. My router is in the kitchen, and while there, I can hit speeds over 400Mb/s, but when I'm at my PC, it drops down to just 10Mb/s. Running a long Ethernet cable isn't an option for me, and I've tried using a TP-Link WiFi extender, but it didn't help at all. I'm looking for suggestions on products or solutions that can help me get closer to that high-speed connection. Is it even possible?

I recommend looking into powerline networking. It’s usually effective for both gaming and download speeds since it transmits data through your home’s wiring. Just make sure you check the specs to find a decent one.

If you can't run a long cable or install an Ethernet outlet, then your options are limited. Besides the powerline adapters, some WiFi extenders might have Ethernet out ports, so it’s worth checking those out if you haven’t already.

I totally get where you’re coming from! I use a 100-foot Ethernet cable that runs across several rooms to connect my PC, and it works great. You might also want to consider powerline adapters; they utilize your electrical wiring to transmit the internet signal, which could be a good fit for your setup.
