Hey everyone! I'm new here, so I apologize if I mess something up. I'm in a bit of a bind and could really use your advice. My wife recently mentioned wanting to check out my computer, and I've got some files on there that I'd rather she didn't see. They're not illegal or anything, but they are a bit sketchy. I don't want to delete them, so what are some effective ways I can hide these files? Thanks in advance for your help!

A simple way is to right-click on the file, select 'Properties', and check the 'Hidden' option. Then, in 'View' settings, make sure 'Show hidden files' is turned off so they won't be visible anymore. Just a heads up, I hope this is just a personal choice and not something more serious!
You can zip the files up, rename the zip file, and remove the .zip extension. Then add a dot (.) at the beginning of the filename and move it to a hidden system folder. Just make sure to keep backups in case you need them later!
Haha, right? It’s wild how some of these files are hidden for a reason!
