What’s the Best Way to Learn Linux Practices?

As I've been exploring Debian 13 with KDE, I've realized there are numerous ways to accomplish similar tasks. For example, when I first installed the OS, I manually edited a file to add my user to the sudoers list. Later, I discovered two commands that could do this for me instead. Similarly, to mount my secondary disk, I initially edited the `fstab` file, but found that using KDE Partition Manager was much easier and avoided the hassle of changing the disk owner.

I'm curious about finding the "best practices" or recommended methods for different types of users—whether they're casual users or more advanced. Is there a comprehensive resource or wiki out there that covers this?

I really think there isn't a one-size-fits-all best method—it really depends on what works for you. A great starting point is to learn the fundamentals of Linux itself. There are tons of resources out there, including books and online courses. If you're looking for more structured learning, Linux+ classes can be very helpful, especially if you're considering a career in tech. Also, check out No Starch Press for some excellent books like 'Linux Command Line' and 'Linux Basics for Hackers.' They're super helpful!

I just found this manual page while writing my question: [Debian Reference Manual](https://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/debian-reference/). It's quite extensive and breaks down both 'Linux' and 'Debian-specific' topics, which might really help.
