What’s the Best Way to Manage Patching for Third-Party Apps?

I'm looking for recommendations on how to effectively manage patching for third-party applications, especially in a cloud-based environment. I've heard a lot about PatchMyPC and have considered it since it integrates with Intune and offers great features at a low cost (about £1.5k). However, I've received a quote for Automox, which seems to come with additional features like a remote control agent but has a higher price tag at around £8k. I really want to know what others have experienced with both tools, particularly those who have used both. Also, we're currently managing 300-400 endpoints, mainly Windows and macOS devices, all through Intune. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

PatchMyPC is fantastic! It's super affordable and integrates smoothly with Intune, making it a preferred choice for many. Some folks might suggest Action1, which is solid for certain situations, but its catalog doesn't compare to PatchMyPC and it requires an agent, which might not work for everyone. If you're already in the Intune ecosystem, PatchMyPC just feels like the perfect fit.

Don't discount tools that need an agent, they can be really beneficial, especially for remote workers. I've had to overlook some tools because they didn't support that, and it caused issues.
