What’s the Best Way to Run a Windows VM for Hosting Game Servers?

Hey everyone, I've switched my home server from Windows 11 to Kubuntu, and now to CachyOS, and it's been a real hassle trying to host servers. I'm trying to run a game server for Escape from Tarkov, which isn't really supported on Linux. My main goal is to find an efficient way to run this in a VM while avoiding any networking problems.

I'd recommend using VirtualBox or KVM for your setup. Both are solid virtualization options, but keep in mind that they do have some resource costs, especially on systems not optimized for virtualization. You might want to look into Proxmox since it's really powerful and could handle everything well, but it might take a bit more setup.

Proxmox looks interesting, but I actually need this machine to serve as my desktop too, since I'm using it as my HTPC in the living room. Is it possible to run both Proxmox for the VM and a desktop environment on the same machine?
