Hey everyone! I'm a bit concerned about how I handle my PC after gaming. After shutting down, I always unplug both my desktop and monitor, plus I toggle the power supply off. Is this really necessary, or am I just making things more complicated? I often leave my PC on for long periods until I go to work, and when I come back, it's still running until I go to bed. I really want to ensure I'm not damaging my PC, especially since this was my first build from money I've saved up. Also, any tips on keeping my PC safe while I'm not home would be great! Here are my specs: Acer AC-550 PSU, A520M A Pro motherboard, and an Athlon 3000G CPU.

Are you worried about power issues? If so, maybe consider a surge protector instead of the unplugging. Otherwise, just shutting down and leaving it plugged in should do just fine. That's what most of us do!
Honestly, you can just turn off your PC through the power button in Windows. There's no need to unplug everything; that could actually cause issues with your CMOS battery over time. Just hitting 'shut down' is all you need to do. Your monitor can go into sleep mode which doesn't use much power at all.
Yep, just power it down! Unplugging is unnecessary and can actually be harmful in the long run. If your power's okay where you live, you're really fine leaving it plugged in and just shutting it off when you're done.
I’d advise just turning it off through the start menu. There’s no need for the extra steps you’re taking. If you're concerned about safety, a good surge protector will help protect from any power surges.
I just let my PC go to sleep when I'm not using it. Honestly, you don’t need to overthink it. Just shut it down properly in Windows and you're good to go!
Thanks for the tip! I’ll look into getting a surge protector.
