Hey everyone! I have a bunch of old Windows 10 PCs that can't be upgraded to Windows 11 and are just sitting in my office. I'm considering letting staff take them home for a charitable donation of £20. Before I pass them out, I want to know what the best software or method is for securely wiping the hard drives before doing a factory reset. Normally, I'd just smash them with a hammer, but I'd like to be more professional about it this time! Any suggestions?

You can use ShredOS from GitHub to wipe the drives. Just keep in mind that a factory reset won't be available afterward, so they'll need to reinstall the operating system themselves. If you want a straightforward way to get it done, this is a solid option!

I’d recommend installing Windows 10 on them before handing them out. Just prepare a USB boot drive with it ready to go.
