What’s the best way to set up my i5-14600KF CPU without overheating it?

I'm setting up my new PC build with an Intel i5-14600KF CPU, and I've heard that it can overheat pretty quickly. What are some steps I should take to ensure it runs efficiently? Additionally, I'm considering aesthetics, so I want to incorporate DDR5 memory and an AIO cooler. Also, do I need a heatsink for my storage? Here's a link to my parts list: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VQnJC8](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VQnJC8).

Before you buy, consider whether you’ve already got any of your components or if you’re starting fresh. If you’re all in on new parts, then the Ryzen 7700X could be a good alternative around the same price point as the i5-14600KF. Also, for storage, SSD prices can get wild; maybe check for better deals on brands that offer good performance for the price. And yeah, don't buy the 7900XT if you’re eyeing the 7900; the next-gen version offers a better performance ratio.

I appreciate that advice! What SSD brands would you recommend?

If you're keeping the i5, just make sure your cooler is compatible, and you might not need a heatsink for your SSD unless you're pushing it hard in gaming or heavy workloads. Focus on airflow in your case, too, it makes a big difference!

Honestly, if you can, you might want to reconsider going with a Ryzen CPU instead of the i5. The next-gen Ryzen chips offer a better upgrade path and might save you some headaches in terms of heat management. It's good to focus on having a solid AIO cooler, too, especially for aesthetics!

That’s a solid point; I’ve seen the Ryzen chips handle heat way better!
