I'm making the switch to iCloud and need advice on how to transfer my Google Photos album. Is there a way to do this, or will I have to delete my Google Photos? I'm looking for free methods and would prefer not to use any third-party software. Ideally, I want to transfer the photos directly from Google Photos to iCloud without having to download them to my phone first. I have over 38GB of photos, so that's really important. Thanks!

You can use Google Takeout to export your photos. After that, you'll have to upload them to iCloud. Just be aware that there's no direct option to send them to iCloud from Google Photos yet. You'll have to do it in two steps.
Just a heads up, some people have mentioned that there’s no option for directly sending your Google Photos to iCloud, so downloading might still be necessary. Once you get them on your device, you can easily move them to iCloud.
