I'm moving soon and need to figure out the best way to transport my HP OMEN 40L gaming PC. I'm not very knowledgeable about computers, and I really don't feel comfortable taking out any parts. The drive is only about 20 minutes, and I plan to keep it in a separate car away from the other boxes. Unfortunately, my mom threw away the original packaging, so I need some advice on how to make sure it gets to my new place safely. Help a fellow newbie out! 🙂

For a 20-minute drive, you don't need to do anything too fancy. You can hold the PC on your lap or set it on the passenger seat. Just make sure it's steady and won't slide around—it should be fine unless you're planning on doing some wild driving!
I usually lay my PC tower flat, motherboard side down, ideally on a soft surface like cushions to absorb bumps from the road. Just ensure it's secured so it won’t move around during the ride. That should keep it safe!
If you set the PC upright, just drive carefully and avoid big bumps. You can put some Styrofoam under the GPU to help with stability. But if you’re super worried, wrapping it in blankets and placing it in a box could also work!
You could strap it into the passenger seat for extra protection. If your GPU is heavy, consider removing it or putting some foam underneath to cushion it. That way, you minimize risks. Drive safely!

So, should I really have the clear side facing up? I was planning to cover it with blankets and just be extra careful! I'm really scared of breaking it!
